Ibn Al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him, said: I once went to Shaykh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah. He prayed fajr, then sat down to evoke Allah the Most High until almost halfway through the day, then he turned to me and said, "This is my morning." On another occasion, he said to me, "I never forsake evocation except with the intention of resting my soul."

It is also among its virtues that it wipes out sins and makes them go away, it brings affinity between the servant and his Lord, Blessed and Exalted be He, it is the planting of Paradise and a light for the evoker here on earth, as well as in the grave and on the bridge thrown over Hell. Evocation is a tree whose fruits are knowledge and situations towards which the wanderers are oriented. It is equivalent to the freeing of slaves and spending of goods, and leads to good in the path of Allah.
It is the height of gratitude. The most honoured creatures in the sight of Allah the Most High among the pious are those whose tongues never cease to evoke Him. Evocation is a healing of the heart and its treatment. It brings benefits, repels evil, and involves praise from Allah, Exalted and Mighty, and His angels for the evoker. The seats of evocation are gardens of Paradise and seats of angels. Being constant on them replaces supererogatory worship and takes their place. It is one of the greatest supports for obedience to Allah. It has an amazing effect on achieving peace, and it is a cause for the Lord, Mighty and Exalted be He, to declare His servant truthful
